Nowhere else on the World Wide Web can South Carolina teachers find the most current South Carolina curriculum standards dynamically linked to an ever-growing collection of high quality lesson plans, curriculum and assessment items, as well as other Web-based classroom resources. This treasury of items can be explored and exploited using a powerful search tool.

SCTLC is highly customizable; individual teachers can create a personal workspace on the site to meet their work requirements.

Among the resources that will be available when SCTLC goes online will be the lesson plans, curriculum, assessment, and other classroom resources from Marcopolo: Internet Content for the Classroom. Marcopolo brings together high-quality classroom resources that have been developed by The National Council on Economic Education, National Geographic Expeditions, The National Endowment for the Humanities, The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, The American Association for the Advancement of Science, and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. All of the items from Marcopolo are aligned with the appropriate national curriculum standards. Over the next months the Marcopolo resources will be aligned with the South Carolina curriculum standards.
